Successful Start Scholarship awarded to Ecotox student

Every year applicants from abroad who are accepted on one of our international master’s programs – like Ecotoxicology – can apply for a Successful Start Scholarship. The competitative scholarship supports highly qualified international students during their first semester to facilitate their start in a new country. In total, six scholarships could be awarded this year – three to students in Landau and three to international students at our campus in Koblenz. The financial support allows them to settle in and get used to living and studying in Germany more easily.

This year’s scholarship holder in Ecotoxicology

The scholarship in the field of Ecotoxicology for winter semester 2016/17 was given to Mr Mohamed Hafez from Egypt.

Once Mr Hafez had arrived, the student advisor of the Ecotox master’s program, Dr. Jochen Zubrod, and I – me representing the Welcome Center Landau – handed over the official award certificate to Mr Hafez. Together with the certificate Mr Hafez also received a glass of our university honey “to get a taste for the region”.

We wish Mr Hafez a good start at the University of Koblenz-Landau and success for his studies in Ecotoxicology.
